About

Founder and CEO, Inspired Idea Productions

Elizabeth Mihelich is the Founder and CEO of Inspired Idea Productions. She's a producer, line producer, writer and actress. An intuitive and empathetic leader, Elizabeth strives to embolden, empower and ignite passion through the art of storytelling and higher consciousness.

She's a rare breed: a type A and a creative mind who brings organization, structure and stellar problem-solving skills to any project while tapping into her creative genius. A true lover of collaboration, honed at the best long-form improv schools, Elizabeth thrives when she can connect with others, be inspired by incredible conversations, and help others bring their stories and dreams to life.

Her expertise is in indie feature and short films that deliver incredible production value without breaking the bank. Her productions have been known to be crew favorites: though they're working hard within limited resources, the respectful, grounded and thoughtful crews she puts together thrive under the hardest of circumstances. If you're into the woo-woo, Elizabeth has other tools in her arsenal to unlock your creativity, love life, career or money blocks. Ask if you dare!

Elizabeth co-produced the feature film Aporia, starring Judy Greer and Edi Gathegi, which had its world premiere at Fantasia Fest 2023, was nominated for Best Independent Feature Film at the 51st Gotham Awards and is streaming on Hulu. She was thrilled to line produce Welcome to the Fishbowl, filmed in Denver in 2024, and can't wait for audiences to experience Jeremy Swift and Natalie Gold in this funny screwball road-trip comedy. In 2025 she co-produced The Silence Game, writer-director John Rosman's second feature, filmed in New Mexico, and Go Love Go, a queer romantic comedy directed by Nell Teare, in Los Angeles. She also line produced Bolivar and served as UPM on Lovers (Apple TV).

Born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, Elizabeth earned a BA in Theatre: Directing from the University of Northern Colorado before building her career in Los Angeles. She has produced more than a dozen short films that have screened at festivals across the country, including What Metal Girls Are Into (100+ festival selections, now on Amazon), Always Remember Me and The First Noelle, which she also wrote. She is committed to projects with at least 50% female representation in front of and behind the camera, and today is back home in Colorado developing original features including About a Fix and A Summer Away.

Elizabeth is the programming chair for Women in Film and Media Colorado, as well as the Regional Film Liaison in Northern Colorado for the Colorado Office of Film, Television & Media. She's written multiple screenplays, including Partnering, Tag-A-Longs, Turning Tables and Manifest Destiny; Tag-A-Longs was a finalist in the Mammoth Film Festival Pitch Fest in 2020.

She loves to make others laugh, connects and flirts with everyone, and is prone to twisting her ankle at a moment's notice. She'll do it with grace and when you least expect it, so you can be sure to get a good laugh for the day. Elizabeth thinks she's a Carrie Bradshaw but is definitely more a Bridget Jones.
